After some experimentations with materials, I have migrated printmaking processes to "hard" surface like gessoed panels thus opening a dialogue to erase strict definitions of what is a print and what a painting is. This specific work is bringing the old master Durer to today's personal interpretation.

 I have been appropriating geometric structures that resemble viral organisms. After a long process of editing and vector intervention, These drawing are cut out into vinyl props. After applying them and removing positive and negative areas,  apply drawing and paint to fill in the gap.

A progression of a piece

As I visit and revisit an image, I find forms that need to be enhanced whereas others need to be pushed back. This particular work started in 2011 and has been going through the etching press multiple times and through hand drawing by several hours.
